Universidad de Lima will arrange an official exchange visa for exchange students, through the National Assembly of University Presidents and the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In order to start the procedure, students shall submit the following information at least six weeks before their arrival in Lima:
- Scanned copy of the air ticket to Lima;
- Scanned copy of their passport;
- Address of the student residence/house where the student will live in Lima;
- Scanned copy Health Insurance
We will notify the students when the visa is ready (about one week before their arrival in Lima) so that they can pick it up at the Peruvian Embassy/Consulate in their country. This official visa is granted for three months. About two week before its expiration, we will also arrange the renewal. As the official visa is granted exclusively for academic purposes, the return flight must be scheduled no further than January 15, for students who will study in semestre 2 (August-December), and no further than August 31, for students who will study in semestre1(April-July).

Students may also enter Peru as tourists. As the tourist visa is granted for three months, once this time elapses, they could ask for a change of their migration status. This process costs about US$ 100.
